DEEP CREEK (Campground) Additional Info: Nestled at the northern edge of the Uinta Mountains at 7,800 feet elevation, this small campground is flanked by the tranquil waters of Carter Creek and Deep Creek. The campground is situated in a lush, forested area and offers 17 sites. There is no water or garbage service; pack it in, pack it out. Maximum RV length is 30 feet. First come, first served. Open May through September. Fishing for rainbow trout in Deep Creek is popular. Elk Park Trail approximately 3 miles southeast leads into the mountains. Scenic Route FS221 northwest of the campground provides access to Browne Lake, Sheep Creek Lake, Long Park Reservoir, and Spirit Lake.
