D.H. Day Group Campground

D.H. Day Group Campground is a tent-only group camping facility at Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore located at the end of Harwood Road about one mile north of the Dune Climb. The campground has 4 reservable group sites accommodating groups of 7-25 people. Sites are nonelectric. Reservations are required between May 15 and October 15. The campground is a hub for water activities with motorized and non-motorized boating allowed on the lake, and a boat ramp about six miles away providing access to Lake Michigan. Canoes and kayaks can be rented in nearby Glen Harbor to float the Crystal River. The beach at Glen Haven, popular for beachcombing and swimming, is about one mile away. Maximum stay is 14 total calendar days per campground from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. Food, drinks, coolers, toiletries, and scented items must be stored in sealed vehicles or food storage lockers day and night.
