Round Lake State Forest Campground
About this site
This peaceful, rustic campground sits along the shoreline of Round Lake providing amazing views and good fishing opportunities in the Pigeon River Country State Forest. Visitors can also access the High Country Pathway for amazing hiking and backpacking opportunities. There are 10 sites for tent and small trailer use. Sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservations. Amenities include vault toilets and potable water from a hand-pump well. Camping is limited to a 15-day maximum stay. Located in Otsego County, 14 miles east of Vanderbilt via Sturgeon Valley Road and Round Lake Road. A Recreation Passport (park pass) is required for vehicle entry. Additional Info: Round Lake is accessible from the campground for fishing. Pigeon River (1 mile west) contains brown, brook and rainbow trout. The campground provides access to state land open to hunting.
