Primitive backpacking campsites along the Cruickshank Trail in Silver Peak Wilderness, including Lower Cruickshank Camp and Upper Cruickshank Camp. Both sites feature fire pits and seating areas, with room for one or two tents at the upper site. Accessed via strenuous 2-mile hike from Highway 1 trailhead near Big Sur, through oak forests and redwood stands with creek views.
