Coon Creek Yellow Post #4 is one of 19 individual yellow post campsites along Forest Road 1N02 in San Bernardino National Forest, near Highway 38 between Barton Flats and Onyx Summit. These sites offer a rustic camping experience with designated picnic tables and fire rings at an elevation of approximately 7,080 feet. Open year-round on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservations. Maximum 8 persons and 2 vehicles per site. 14-day camping limit. No restroom facilities or drinking water available. Valid California Campfire Permit required for fire ring, stoves, or lanterns use; subject to fire restrictions. Road is dirt/gravel; not recommended for low-clearance vehicles, with sites 15-19 requiring 4WD and high clearance.
