Shelter located on the Long Trail in Breadloaf Wilderness. Additional Info: Cooley Glen Shelter is a three-sided Adirondack-style lean-to on the Long Trail in the Breadloaf Wilderness of Green Mountain National Forest. Accessed by hiking approximately 3.4 miles from the Cooley Glen-Emily Proctor Trailhead via Cooley Glen Trail. The shelter was originally built in 1918, with the current version constructed in 1965. It operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no fees. Practice Leave No Trace principles.
