Clint Beek (Keogh Lake) Recreation Site
About this site
Just 25 minutes from Port McNeill, Clint Beek Recreation Site is located on beautiful Keogh Lake. A popular summer destination for island residents, this site was built by MacMillan Bloedel in the late 1990's and named after Clint Beek - a prominent member of the community and long-time employee of M&B. A grassy area, picnic shelter and sandy beach provide for plenty of day use opportunities with a rough boat launch into Keogh Lake (non motorized only please). There is a host on site during the summer months with 13 campsites available for overnight use. At the request of Kwakiutl First Nation, RSTBC will not be supporting the use of motorized boating on Keogh (Giyuxw) Lake through the Clint Beek Rec Site beginning in 2022. Users who wish to participate in motorized recreation on the lake will not be permitted to use the rec site or associated dock. This decision has been made in support of Reconciliation efforts, at the request of the Kwakiutl First Nation, to better manage and protect the Giyuxw watershed and it's associated fishery. Please pack out what you pack in as there are no garbage disposal services at the rec site. For reservations, please contact the site host via email at KeoghLake@gmail.com. Only a portion of the sites are available for reservation (Sites 4,7-11,14), with 50% remaining first come first serve. Please see the Site Map below for specific sites available for reservation as well as the Reservation and Refund Policy for more information. Additional Info: Open spring, summer, and fall. Reservations available for select sites; host on site in summer months. 14 campsites noted in some sources.
