About this site
Primitive campsites are first-come, first-served with tent pads and fire rings. Pit toilets are available but no potable water. A $5 day use fee or Northwest Forest Pass is required for camping and parking. Parking is limited and not suitable for RVs or trailers; overflow at Marble Mountain Sno Park. Climbing permit required above 4,800 ft year-round. Additional Info: Located at the trailhead for Ptarmigan Trail #216A, start of Monitor Ridge Climbing Route to Mount St. Helens. Accessible via 2.7-mile gravel Forest Road 830.
