CITICO CREEK DISPERSED CAMPSITES (Camping Area) Additional Info: Citico Creek is a primary destination for trout fishermen and those seeking primitive camping experiences. Dispersed camping is available throughout the Citico Creek area, particularly in the Citico Creek Wilderness section. Campsites are nicely spaced out for privacy, with many sites located near the creek. Each site typically has a picnic table and fire ring. Portable toilets are located nearby. There is no potable water available. Restrooms are not available at this site. Camping is limited to 14 consecutive days; on the 14th day, campers must leave the area for a minimum of seven days before returning. The creek is stocked with rainbow trout by Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency March through August. Access is via Citico Creek Road (Forest Road 35) from Tellico Plains or Vonore, Tennessee.
