Chicken Gold Camp & Outpost is an RV park and campground located in the center of Chicken, Alaska, a small wilderness community on Chicken Creek in the Mosquito Fork valley, 66 miles north of the Alaska Highway via the Taylor Highway. The facility offers 39 electric RV campsites (20 and 30 amp pull-thru sites) and 32 unpowered RV or tent sites across adjoining campgrounds, with picnic tables and fire rings. Amenities include water and dump stations, clean showers, WiFi, and firewood included with camping. Rentable cabins are also available. On-site facilities include a restaurant serving homemade entrees and wood-fired pizza, a gift store showcasing Alaska and Yukon native art and crafts, a historic gold dredge with daily tours, and recreational gold mining activities (gold panning, high-banking, and dredging) with equipment rentals and free instruction. Easy hiking access to the nearby Fortymile River is available.
