CHERRY CREEK (Campground) Additional Info: Cherry Creek Campground is located along NM Highway 15 in Gila National Forest at 6,800 feet elevation, surrounded by dense mixed conifer forest. It offers picnic areas and overnight camping near the Trail of the Mountain Spirits Scenic Byway. A small stream runs through the site with possible high water during heavy rain. No wood available; bring your own or use charcoal/propane. Watch for poison ivy. Not recommended for RVs over 17 feet. Pets must be leashed. 14-day stay limit. Year-round availability.
