Cavalcade Group Campground
About this site
Cavalcade Group Campground is located in the Kootenay Plains Provincial Recreation Area on Highway 11, approximately 28 km east of Saskatchewan River Crossing and 64-67 km west of Nordegg. The campground features 8 unserviced group sites, each accommodating 7 to 30 units (maximum 20 units per site). Sites are well-spaced with mountain views and an open prairie setting. Amenities include picnic tables, fire pits, pit/vault toilets, garbage bins, and shelters at sites 1, 4, 5, and 7. A climbing wall is located behind sites 4 and 5. Pump water is available. The campground is open May to October and requires advanced reservations. Minimum group size is 5 units. A 5 km trail to Siffleur Falls is nearby, and the area offers opportunities for backcountry skiing and rock and ice climbing.
