Castle Peak is a 9,103-foot mountain in Tahoe National Forest near I-80 Donner Pass, popular for hiking and scrambling along unmaintained trails from Castle Pass. Access parking from I-80 exit 176 frontage road; high-clearance vehicles recommended for some areas. Camping prohibited per Forest Order 17-22-06. Adjacent private land prohibits recreational use.
