Canoe Harbor State Forest Campground
About this site
Rustic campground located along the south branch of the Au Sable River, 14 miles southeast of Grayling via M-72 and Canoe Harbor Road. The campground offers 41 sites for tent and small trailer use, plus four walk-in sites accessible by short hike or canoe. Amenities include vault toilets and potable water from a hand-pump well. No electrical hookups available. Excellent opportunities for canoeing, kayaking, trout fishing, and hiking. The Mason Tract Pathway (8.5 miles of rolling trail) is accessible from the campground. Sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservations. Overnight fee is $20 per site. Recreation Passport (vehicle entry pass) required. Maximum stay is 15 days. One camping unit and six people allowed per site.
