Camp Wolfeboro
About this site
Camp Wolfeboro is a Boy Scouts wilderness camp located along the North Fork of the Stanislaus River in California's Sierra Nevada Motherlode region, 22 miles east of Arnold. It features 16 active campsites, primarily on the Tuolumne side (southern bank) including Big Sandy, Boucke, Cliff, Creekside, Eagle, Little Sandy, McPherson, Polaris, Riverside, Rodeo, Tuolumne, and White Fir, and on the Calaveras side (northern bank) including 24 Camp, Bridge, Cedar, and Manzanita. Most campsites accommodate 35 or more Scouts with capacities varying (e.g., Riverside for 8, McPherson for 20). Each campsite includes a potable water source, bulletin board, flag pole, large bear box, fire ring, and kitchen area with running water. Nearby Sand Flat offers a primitive campground accessible by a graded gravel road (high clearance recommended). The camp is private property with no vehicle road access to main campsites; hiking is encouraged when not in session. Follow Leave No Trace principles as there are no water faucets, trash, or outhouse services.
