Camp Sloggett is a historic campground owned and operated by YWCA Kaua'i in Koke'e State Park. Built in 1925 as a family retreat and donated to YWCA in 1938, it offers a rustic setting in a tropical evergreen forest at the top of Waimea Canyon. Facilities include Sloggett Lodge (sleeps up to 15, $265/night, full kitchen, bathroom, wood-burning fireplace, covered patio), cottages, bunkhouse, and tent camping sites. Amenities include flushing toilets, hot showers, drinking water, picnic tables, and trash cans. Ideal base for hiking trails like Awa'awapuhi, Pihea, and Alaka'i Swamp. Note: As of summer 2024, tent and camper van camping may be restricted; confirm availability.
