Buttonwood Hill Camp

Buttonwood Hill is a primitive camping area within Wharton State Forest near Egg Harbor City, New Jersey. The area features five tent and trailer campsites with a maximum of two tents and/or six people per site. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring. The campground is situated alongside the Batona Hiking Trail with flat terrain and dense forest surroundings. Pit toilets are available, but potable water is not. Pet-friendly campsites are available for an additional $5 per night charge. The campground is open year-round and accessible by vehicle.
