Steam Mill Campground is the most primitive camping area in Stokes State Forest with 27 sites suitable only for tents or small trailers/campervans. It offers a remote and quiet experience with pit toilets, delicious spring drinking water available a short walk away, and some sites with tent platforms. Flush toilets and showers are available a couple of miles away at Lake Ocquittunk camping area. Additional Info: Site access is drive-in. Costs $20 resident/$25 non-resident per day. Maximum 6 people per site.
