Butterwort Flats Campsite
About this site
Butterwort Flats (also called Butterwort Creek) is the first designated backcountry campsite along the Elk River Trail in Strathcona Provincial Park, located about 6-7km from the trailhead. It offers space for around 10-12 tents on a gravel bar next to the river with some sites in trees for rain protection. Amenities include an outhouse, food locker, and river water access. First come, first served. Additional Info: Backcountry camping permit required ($10/adult, $5/child 6-16) from June 15 to September 30. No camping at Landslide Lake.
