Site Boulder Mdw 3, Loop Backpacking Site in Big Bend National Park. This is a hike-in site located 1.75 miles from the Chisos Basin trailhead via the Pinnacles Trail. Maximum 4 people, 2 tents. Hammocks are prohibited. Bears and other animals are frequently seen in this area. Do not leave food or other items unattended. No wood or ground fires permitted. There is NO water available in the Boulder Meadow area. The closest water is at the Basin Visitor Center spigot. Always carry adequate water for cooking, drinking, and washing (suggested 1 gallon (4 l)/person/24 hours). Pets are not allowed on trails in Big Bend National Park. A bear proof food locker is provided. No toilets, water, or amenities are provided.
