Bootleg Campground offers solitude and chance to get away from crowds in shaded Jeffrey pines. The campground is across highway from West Walker River which has good fishing opportunities. Generally opening late May to mid September, weather and condition permitting. Fee info: Overnight Use: Single Site: $28 per night Additional Vehicle Fee: $6 per vehicle per night Additional Info: Bootleg Campground is located just off US Highway 395 south of Walker, California, at 6,600 feet elevation. It offers single and double-family sites with picnic tables, food storage lockers, and campfire rings with grills. Flush toilets, drinking water, and trash collection are provided. Firewood is available for purchase from the host. Dogs must be on a leash.
