Site Boot Canyon 2, Big Bend Backcountry Camping. The Boot Canyon campsites are located in Boot Canyon, 4.5 miles from the Chisos Basin Trailhead via the Pinnacles Trail. All campsites are located along a 1/2 mile long spur trail. Do not plan on finding these campsites in the dark. This extra large site fits 8 people. Isolated with great shade. The access trail leads 100’ down to a cozy camping area. Since this is a larger site, please don't reserve this unless you have a group. This is a hike-in site. Parking is available at the Chisos Basin trailhead or the Chisos Basin Amphitheater. Additional Info: Backpacking campsite in Big Bend National Park. Maximum 12 people, 5 tents. Hammocks are prohibited. No wood or ground fires permitted.
