Bird Creek Campground in Chugach State Park is located at Mile 101 on the Seward Highway, about 20 miles south of Anchorage, Alaska. The campground features 22 sites open to tents and RVs, with amenities including water pump, picnic tables, fire rings, outhouses, and bear-safe food lockers. It offers access to biking, hiking, fishing, climbing, wildlife viewing, campfires, and views of Turnagain Arm. No reservations in advance; first-come, first-served. Additional Info: Completely rebuilt in recent years with wheelchair-accessible facilities. Popular with families and tourists.
