Birch Lake Recreation Area is an off-base recreational facility managed by Eielson AFB MWR, located 35 miles south of Eielson on the Richardson Highway near Fairbanks, Alaska. It offers 36 camper pad sites with electric hookups, seven tent sites, and 23 cabins surrounded by spruce and birch forests with direct access to Birch Lake. Amenities include flush toilets, drinking water, picnic tables, fire rings, boat rentals, dock, showers, lodge with snack bar, playground, sandy beach, and picnic pavilion. Suitable for fishing trout, boating, and exploring nearby attractions. Additional Info: Camper pads: $30/night with electric (30A), large enough for one RV, no dump station. Tent sites: $20/night, no electricity. Cabins: Furnished, ranging from basic to super deluxe, $30-$90/night.
