About this site

Big Creek Campground is located in Flathead National Forest, Montana, along the Flathead River. The campground organizes into two small loops totaling approximately 20 sites, with sites 5-15 positioned directly on the river. The forested setting provides good privacy between sites, with tall conifers creating natural barriers. Each campsite is equipped with tables and campfire rings with grills. The facility maintains vault toilets and potable water from hand pumps in 2 locations (note: hand pumps are not for filling RVs). No flush facilities or showers are available on-site. A group camping area can accommodate up to 200 guests. The campground offers excellent fishing and boating opportunities, with a boat launch available. Wildlife sightings are common; bears frequent the area, making proper food storage in bear containers essential. The Glacier Institute's Big Creek Outdoor Education Center is located across from the campground and offers seminars and guided hikes.
