Big Cone Camp sits on a hillside saddle within Los Padres National Forest in Santa Paula Canyon, accessible only by hiking the Santa Paula Canyon Trail (21W11) through Thomas Aquinas College property and horse fields. The primitive backcountry site is nestled among trees near the falls and gorge of Santa Paula Creek, named for the Big Cone Spruce trees in the area. Nearby attractions include the Santa Paula Punch Bowls with waterfalls, rock slides, and pools.
