Benchmark Campground
About this site
Benchmark Campground is located approximately 30 miles west of Augusta, Montana in the Helena-Lewis and Clark National Forest. It offers 25 campsites with picnic tables and fire rings, vault toilets, and spacious parking for RVs and horse trailers up to 35 feet. The site provides primary access to the Bob Marshall Wilderness Complex and is popular with backpackers, horseback riders, and anglers. It operates seasonally from late spring through early fall, weather permitting. Potable water is not available; bring your own supply. The campground is in bear country with mandatory food storage requirements. Overnight fee is $10 per single site plus $5 per additional vehicle. Cash or check payment required. Interagency Senior/Access passes offer 50% discount on single site fee. 14-day stay limit.
