Benchmark Campground
About this site
Benchmark Campground is located approximately 30 miles west of Augusta, Montana on Forest Road 235 in the Helena-Lewis and Clark National Forest. It has 25 campsites available from summer until fall, situated in a wooded area with conifers and aspen providing shade at all sites. The campground is pack it in, pack it out, composed of three spurs, two of which have horse feeding troughs at most sites. All sites have spacious parking aprons suitable for RVs or tow vehicles with horse trailers. Maximum trailer length is 35 feet. It is located near the Scapegoat Wilderness and Bob Marshall Wilderness Complex in bear country; practice safe food storage techniques. Elevation is 5,300 feet. Stay limit is 14 days. Additional Info: Overnight use: $10/night single site, $5/night additional vehicle. Interagency Senior/Access Passes provide 50% discount on single campsite fee only. Vault toilets available. Potable water not available; bring your own supply. Sites include picnic tables and fire rings. Pets allowed on leash. Handicapped accessible.
