About this site

Bear Island Lake has a sand beach and 4 backcountry campsites accessible only by water. There are resorts on portions of the shoreline. Use provided facilities such as fire rings, tent pads, and latrines. Pack out all garbage. Dogs are allowed but must be kept under control. No potable water or restrooms available. Additional Info: Located deep in Superior National Forest's backcountry with carry down access on the east side and boat ramp on the southwest side.
