Bear Canyon Trail Camp

Bear Canyon Trail Camp is a hike-in campground located 5 miles from Switzer's Picnic Area in Angeles National Forest. It offers three primitive campsites, each with a picnic table, along Bear Creek in the San Gabriel Mountains. Water from the creek is seasonal and must be treated before use. The 5-mile approach follows the Gabrielino National Recreation Trail through Arroyo Seco canyon. Equestrian and mountain bike use not recommended. An Adventure Pass or America the Beautiful Pass is required for parking at the trailhead. Additional Info: Access begins at the lower parking lot of Switzer's Picnic Area off Angeles Crest Highway.
