About this site

Otter River State Forest's campground is centered on Beaman Pond in north central Massachusetts. The facility includes 73 campsites, four yurts, and three group sites. Accommodations include tent sites, RV sites, and yurts (canvas-sided cabin-like structures that sleep 4-6 people with bunk beds, tables, benches, and access to water and electricity). Each campsite is equipped with a picnic table and fire ring. The forest features oak, hickory, northern hardwood, and pines, with wildlife including deer, chipmunks, and numerous bird species. Recreation includes swimming at Beaman Pond (two roped swimming areas), basketball court, volleyball court, and ball field. Picnic areas are available throughout the facility.
