Batona Campground is a small campground in Wharton State Forest along the Batona Trail, with 12 regular sites (max 6 people, 2 tents each) and 1 group site (max 15 people). Each site has a fire ring. Pit toilets and hand pump water available seasonally. Short sandy access road suitable for standard vehicles. Open year-round but reservations required April-October; no alcohol allowed. Additional Info: Pet friendly with rules. Located near Carranza Memorial. Proper food storage required due to bears.
