Avery Lake State Forest Campground
About this site
This secluded, rustic campground is nestled among hardwoods on Avery Lake. There are 16 sites for tent and small trailer use, 10 of which will accommodate a 40-foot long vehicle or trailer. Three of the sites are walk-in sites for tents only. Camping is limited to a 15-day maximum stay. Amenities include vault toilets and potable water from a hand-pump well. The campground is located 9 miles southwest of Atlanta via County Road 487 and Avery Lake Road. Additional Info: - First-come, first-served basis with no reservations. - Nightly fee of $20 per site. - Recreation Passport required for vehicle entry. - Boat launch on Avery Lake. - Picnic area with tables and grills. - No electrical, water, or sewer hookups.
