AUGUST LAKE SITE 1 (Camping Area) Additional Info: August Lake Site 1 is the vehicle-accessible campsite near the boat launch, less than one-half mile from the Prospector OHV Route. High clearance vehicles or OHVs recommended on gravel access road. One backcountry campsite on the lake is canoe-access only. Use provided fire rings, tent pads, and latrines. Pack out garbage. Nine people maximum per site. No restrooms or potable water available; filter or boil lake water.
