Andalusia Slough Recreation Area

Andalusia Slough Recreation Area is a free, first-come-first-served camping area located two miles west of Andalusia, Illinois, off Highway 92 at 14895 78th Avenue West. Managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, this scenic site provides access to the Mississippi River with a well-maintained boat ramp, making it popular for boating, kayaking, and fishing. The area features 25 camping sites on 15 acres of wooded terrain with natural rock bluffs. Amenities include vault toilets, potable water hydrants, picnic tables, fire rings, and day-use picnic shelters. No electric, water, or sewer hookups are available. The campground is open late May through late October and accommodates both tent and RV camping.
