About this site

Allison Point Campground is a 45-site waterfront campground located on Dayville Road near Valdez, Alaska, managed by the U.S. Army MWR (Fort Greely). The campground sits along Prince William Sound, just east of the Trans-Alaska Pipeline Terminal, offering views of the sound and tanker traffic. Sites accommodate both tents and RVs (up to 35 feet), with amenities including flush toilets, portable toilets, drinking water, picnic tables, fire rings on sites 1-5, and a dock for fishing. Four improved trails provide access to the water's edge. The campground is known for excellent shore fishing opportunities, including King (Chinook) salmon (late May through early July), Pink (Humpy) salmon (mid-June through late July), and Silver (Coho) salmon (mid-July through late August). Located 5 minutes from downtown Valdez via paved road, the campground operates seasonally from late May through early September on a first-come, first-served basis. No electrical, water, or sewage hookups are available on-site; dump stations are located in town.
