Airplane Flat campground is in an open stand of mature Ponderosa pine. Canyon Creek is known for its trout fishing. Wildlife includes: Abert squirrel, black bear, mountain lion, elk, turkey and deer. Pack it in & Pack it out, no trash services. 14-day stay limit. Trailers must be under 16 feet. Additional Info: This is a primitive, first-come first-served campground with no fees. Amenities include vault toilets, picnic tables, and fire rings at sites. No potable water or trash services. Access via unpaved Forest Roads 512 and 33; 4WD advised after rain or snow. Open April to October. Quiet hours 10pm-6am, no generators during quiet hours. Fishing on Canyon Creek south of OW Ranch restricted to artificial flies and lures.
