Backcountry campsite 4R1 located at Ribbon Lake in Yellowstone National Park, accessible via the 5.8-mile Ribbon Lake Trail from the Upper Falls Viewpoints parking area on South Rim Drive. Overnight camping requires a backcountry permit from the NPS. Site is in a hydrothermal area near Clear Lake; stay on designated trails. Maximum 3 nights stay. No vehicle access. Additional Info: Backcountry campsites have restrictions on group size, stock use, fires, and length of stay per NPS regulations.
