Wild camping area just outside of the Yosemite South Gate. No amenities, great place to stay the night before driving in or if you can’t snag a campsite! Gets quite crowded, especially in the summer, but you can always find a place to nestle in.

One of the best sites. There’s a massive parking lot so you can park and camp there or walk to a spot, or off road a bit to a dirt spot among the trees. Super close to the Yosemite gates on the Wawona side. More crowded now but can at least have a free place to park
