Dispersed site primary. Several unofficial sites on grass by shore or on trails further N. Loses sun early. Preferred camp location not yet established but likely near Courtenay Bay landing, possibly in 2019. Additional Info: Hənʎəmdᶻi Məkola/Yorke Island Conservancy is located 68 km northwest of Campbell River. The island features west coast vegetation including Western hemlock, Western red cedar, yellow cedar, salal, sword and deer fern, and lanky moss. It contains remains of the Yorke Island Battery with cultural landscape, archaeological features, buildings, gun emplacements, and trails.
