Backcountry campsite along the Yellowstone River Trail, accessible only by hiking from trailheads such as Blacktail/Hellroaring or Tower Junction. Requires Yellowstone National Park backcountry permit for overnight stays. Designated sites include 1Y4 through 1Y9. Tents only, max capacity 10 people per site. No fires allowed. Additional Info: Trail follows the Black Canyon of the Yellowstone River, passing Knowles Falls and bighorn sheep habitat. Endpoint at Yellowstone River Trailhead near Eagle Creek Campground/USFS.
