About this site

Woodridge Park is a free, primitive camping area managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on Clinton Lake near Lawrence, Kansas. The park encompasses 454 acres of oak and hickory forest with 150 acres of native Big and Little Bluestem grass fields. A mowed campground at the entrance provides about 10 drive-up campsites with fire rings, picnic tables, vault toilets, and drinking water. The George Latham Trail is a 4.5-mile scenic loop trail (National Recreation Trail) suitable for novice hikers and backpackers, featuring 15 designated backcountry campsites with fire rings along the route. The trail traverses woods, meadows, hay fields, and lakeshore. Camping is first-come, first-served and limited to 14 days within a 30-day period. Fires are only permitted in designated steel fire rings. Pets are allowed on leash.
