Withers Canyon Trailhead is a free, primitive camping area with 4 designated sites located on Comanche National Grassland near La Junta, Colorado. The trailhead serves as the starting point for the Picket Wire Canyon Trail (17.6 miles) and Picket Wire Canyon Overlook Trail (0.5 miles), providing access to Picket Wire Canyonlands, which features the largest dinosaur track site in North America. Each site has a fire pit and grille. Amenities include pit toilets and ADA-accessible facilities. No water, hookups, or reservations available. The access road (Forest Service Road 500A) can become impassable when wet. Maximum stay is 10 days. Pets are allowed.
