Windy Saddle Horse Camp

Windy Saddle Horse Camp is a small campground with 4 campsites specifically designed for horse camping, featuring long camp spurs for trailers, hitching rails, a loading ramp, and an overflow parking area for stock trailers or day use visitors. Located at 7,700 feet elevation on Windy Saddle above the Hells Canyon Wilderness, it provides access to Seven Devils Trail #124 and Sheep Creek Trail #53, with spectacular views of the Seven Devils mountain range and Hells Canyon area. Access is via steep and narrow Forest Road 517 from Riggins, Idaho; not recommended for RVs, low clearance vehicles, or trailers. Primary use season is July to September. Quiet hours 10pm to 6am. Each site has a picnic table, fire ring, and parking space.
