Winchester Lake State Park Campground is a small, forested oasis in the heart of the Camas Prairie, located 38 miles south of Lewiston. The park spans over 418 acres around a picturesque lake framed by Ponderosa pines. Camping options include basic campsites, electric campsites, full hook-up campsites, and four year-round yurts equipped with electric heating, lights, bedding, picnic tables, fire rings, gas BBQ grills, and seasonal canoe or snowshoes. Amenities include flush toilets, ADA accessible restrooms, hot showers (seasonal), drinking water, playgrounds, group picnic shelters, boat ramps for non-motorized boats, fishing for trout, bass, and Tiger Muskie, and trails for hiking, biking, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and wildlife watching. Reservations: 1-888-922-6743. Note: Winter 2025/2026 - Limited sites in Appaloosa loop; yurts open year-round; Bitterroot & Camas loops, RV dump station, fish cleaning station, and shower house closed October 1st.
