Primitive backpack campsites exist at Gibraltar Hill in William Penn State Forest. Primitive backpack camping at undeveloped sites is permitted throughout the state forest. A permit is required to stay more than one night at one location. Additional Info: Located on a 234-acre forested tract northwest of Birdsboro with abundant unimproved trails and a spectacular vista overlooking Berks County.
