Whycocomagh Provincial Park occupies a dramatic hillside overlooking the Skye River Valley and the Bras d'Or Lakes. Nova Scotia's first provincial park to offer yurt camping. Campground accommodations include 37 overnight sites (25 unserviced open sites; 10 with water and electrical services; 3 yurts). Yurts are outfitted with beds, solar lighting, outdoor decks and propane barbecues. Park amenities include flush toilets, showers, disposal station, playground, lake access, boat launch, fire grills, dishwashing station, laundry station, cooking shelters, multi-purpose building, wood, and ice. Wheelchair accessible washrooms and showers onsite. Self-registration. Wireless Internet access available at administration building. Leashed pets permitted. Operating season: June 5 to October 19, 2026. Additional Info: Address: 89 Provincial Park Road, Whycocomagh, NS B0E 3M0. Located on Highway 105, 0.4 km east of Whycocomagh village. Outdoor activities include fishing, hiking, and kayaking.
