WHITETAIL CAMP (Camping Area) Additional Info: Whitetail Camp Campground is located in the Lewis and Clark National Forest in the Little Belt Mountains near Checkerboard, Montana, at approximately 6,342 feet elevation. It features an open meadow with 7-10 designated sites, established fire pits, picnic tables, toilets, and drinking water. The site is alongside Whitetail Creek and offers access to fishing, hiking, hunting, ATV trails, and scenic views. Open May 1 to Oct 1, pets allowed, trailer access available.
