West Backpack Sites at Buckhorn State Park consist of 11 designated backpack campsites accessible by hiking or by shared cart. Sites are located in small clusters, most secluded and near the water. Each site includes a picnic table, fire ring, and bench. Portable toilets are available for each cluster. Gear can be transported to sites by foot, shared cart, boat, or canoe. No special gear is required for cart-accessible sites.
