About this site

This is a free, developed campground offered by El Dorado National Forest strictly for high clearance, 4WD vehicles. There are eight (8) sites, all of which are designed for tent camping. The campground is only open from June to October. There are picnic tables, fire rings, and a vault toilet. Additional Info: No garbage service; pack it in, pack it out. Pets allowed on leash. Single sites limited to 2 vehicles and 6 people. Double units at sites 7 and 8. Maximum stay 14 days per district per year. Checkout time 1:00 PM. Located along Rubicon Jeep Trail at 6,200 feet elevation. General season mid-June to mid-October depending on snowfall. Gerle Creek nearby.
